Since 2011, over 3500 cases of Human Trafficking have been reported to police in Canada. Unfortunately, many more cases go unreported. Like an iceberg, we see only a small part of this heinous crime. Bringing the entire story to light is an important focus of organizations like A New Day and others in our community. The collaboration of people from all facets of the fight against Human Trafficking brings different perspectives, highlights areas of change or concern, and provides essential support to victims. The goal of Traffic Jam is to challenge those listening to learn, further educate themselves, and to inform others. Education is a key tool for Human Trafficking intervention, prevention, and survivor success.
